Friends, parents and children all joined in the fun at yesterday’s Village Street Party in celebration of the Queen’s 90th Birthday. Unfortunately, rain disrupted the start with many moving into the Village Hall to inspect the displays and sample the excellent food on offer. The British spirit soon kicked in with everyone joining in the fun. The children all received a Commemorative Medal and were on a high playing with friends whilst mums and dads chatting and sipping a few drinks….
To make the event more memorable, everyone made an effort in supporting creative red, white and blue hats – well done.
Hat winners: Leah Beardsall, Purdy Sweeting and Vivian French.
Special thanks go to the band, helpers and all the organising behind the scenes.
